Some Random Haiku

Kaleidoscope
Rotating the tubes,
brand new shapes take formation,
point it at the light.

Old Radio
Yellowing with age,
and temperamental old knobs,
it still works the same.

Wind
Brushing my brown hair,
a warm and comfortable breeze,
swept away all my sorrows.

Ice Skating
Carving sheets of ice,
two blades creating pictures,
till they melt away.

Clocks
Arms passing each other,
day after long daunting day,
trying to keep up.

Monochromatic Memories (55 Fiction)

Holding onto an old black and white picture of him, she sat longingly on the old tire. It swayed back and forth. Sam’s face was worn where her thumb had traced a thousand times. What was he doing now? She wished they were seven again, while staring at the tombstone. He would always be seven.

Magazine Found Poem (Underlined Words Were The Cutouts)

Be bad,
stay in bed an extra 15 minutes.
Stop counting the dollars and cents,
and try to just imagine what a penny can do.
Vacation in the city,
who cares about cellulite and belly fat?
Dig deep into Pandora's Box,
and pull out some fresh new dreams.
Promise to smile more,
be colorful,
and savor every sweet feeling.
Enjoy the rewards of your thoughts and words,
let your differences melt into the world of evolution.
Time is real!
And it will get lost.
In the end,
when your playlist is finally over,
you'll be surprised.

My Interesting Words Poem

Shy silhouettes,
in suffocating sunlight,
wandering aimlessly in the cold,
searching through their torn realities,
trying desperately to grab onto a shred of something real.
Every footstep they take
beaming with silent bravery
and courage.
Silver thoughts burning away
in a melting pot.
They try to speak,
try relentlessly
to collect syllables
and create words.
Sadly,
they have no lips or tongues.
They were snapped away
with a bitter electric touch.
Tangles desires leading slowly but surely,
to transparent smiles.
The emotions they once had were
heartlessly dragged away
down the dusty staircase,
of a dark abandoned house.
They explore the mangled staircase,
and travel the fractured sidewalks
attempting to ignore the spinning words of betrayal,
shooting from the mouths of the living.
The lost magnetic souls,
attracted to the slithering rumors
and sharp beams of light,
trying to resist its gravitation.
Eventually they move on from this place,
to find peace.

My Random Word Poem

I dare you to express yourself.
To sculpt a beautiful rainbow
with the brightest colours you can
muster up from your overflowing stack of clay.
Make a strong ,
firm structure of a house,
capable of keeping even the biggest family
safe and warm,
amidst the coldest harshest rain.
Wave around your paint brush,
send the bristles scratching across the surface
of canvas,
a wall,
a sheet of paper.
Scribble your words hard and meaningfully
onto a brand new
crisp document.
Then fold it up and hide it somewhere,
or share it with a friend.
Illuminate your life,
or the life of someone else's with a soft
tune or delicate song.
Chirp the words in a way so sweet,
that you can almost taste the pink frosting.
Design a new outfit,
using the unappreciated shades
of nickel and copper,
or brass.
I dare you express yourself in the most radiant way,
you could ever imagine.

A Case Of The Giggles

One quick glance,
and I get a case of the giggles.
Uncontrollable,
my body unsure of how to react.
I get a case of the giggles,
when she smiles at me.

Each tooth beaming with a smile of its own,
eyes glittering and sparkling as always,
like I've never seen,
it leaves me breathless.
My only response,
to slap my hand onto my cheek,
and shake my head,
trying to control my case of the giggles,
but I just can't.

So I smile,
and watch as she passes.

Room 215 Inspiration

Crafted with true perfection,
it beats,
and my heart pulses along.
Emitting an amazing array of waves,
that fill my ears,
and tingle down through my toes.
My foot starts to tap,
the sharp but smooth beat, pushing through my fingertips,
now they tap too.
I find my body starting to sway ,
along with the stereo resting on my nightstand.
The speakers shaking,
sending me spinning and moving.
The inspiration flows through me,
I forget everything else,
and tune quite literally into this moment.
I never want to do anything else,
nothing makes me feel like this,
just my stereo.
Speakers places strategically in all corners,
seeming to pass me back and forth.
Without such a simple thing,
I would know no happiness or passion.
Without such a simple thing,
the world would be silenced,
as would I.
